"Brotherhood" is the reason why students around the country have decided to join fraternities. Brotherhood is a hard word to define. In a fraternity, students with common interests live in a common environment. Through sharing experiences, working together toward common goals, helping one another through rough times and celebrating achievements, a bond called "brotherhood" is formed, deeper than friendship.
Brotherhood is what gives a fraternity personality. It's the reason that no two fraternities, or even chapters of a fraternity, are the same. It gives a student security and encouragement after leaving home.
Brotherhood is not something that's experienced when you first join, but rather something that grows with age, and lasts after leaving the physical structure of the fraternity upon graduation.
